Eli Bevins is the co-founder, alongside her twin sister Lu Bevins, of Eli Lu Entertainment, which produces films, stage plays, live productions, and industry events, and the Philadelphia Film Factory (Philm Factory), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting local independent filmmakers. A visionary filmmaker, poet, producer, and storyteller, Eli is passionate about serving her community through thought-provoking content that inspires, engages, and uplifts audiences. Her acclaimed Broken Tables spoken word stage play sold out two shows in 2019. In 2020, she released the Cinematic Spoken Word Mixtape, Sound Mind, featuring 12 short films paired with original musical, poetic, and hip-hop tracks and over 150 Philadelphia artists, including “The Epidemic,” which screened at Hollywood’s Chinese Theatre in 2022. The full Sound Mind collection also screened at the WACO Theater Center, hosted by actor Richard Lawson. Eli is the Co-Producer and Co-Director of the upcoming feature film, The Soil, scheduled for release in June 2026.
Since 2015, Eli has served as a designer for the WACO Theater Center and its signature, star-studded Wearable Art Gala. Since 2018, she has co-designed 60-page AD booklets honoring figures such as Beyoncé, Tyler Perry, and Angela Bassett, and in 2022, through Eli Lu Entertainment, she co-produced the “Stomp’n at the Savoy” stage at the Gala, featuring Freda Payne, Obba Babatunde, Kiki Sheppard, and Keith David. That year’s Gala honored Angela Bassett and Mark Bradford and was hosted by KeKe Palmer. Eli also served as an Executive Producer, Producer, and Host, alongside Richard Lawson and Tina Knowles Lawson, for the global virtual talent competition “I Got the Mic: Poetic Experience.”
