In partnership with Women’s Way, Love Now Media is proud to announce the launch of Beyond the Razor Wire Fence, now available across all podcast platforms. This powerful new podcast series features personal stories from women impacted by incarceration, focusing on survival, healing, and their visions for a more just future. The podcast is produced by Women’s Way, as part of the Gender Wealth Institute’s Change the Narrative Fellowship, with Love Now Media providing facilitation and production leadership.

At the heart of the project are the fellows of the Change the Narrative Fellowship: women who have faced the challenges of incarceration and now share their journeys toward freedom and advocacy. Throughout the series, these seven women reframe several tropes of justice and injustice, calling attention to the often overlooked systemic barriers that are specific to the experiences of women—particularly BIPOC women—within the criminal justice system.

Each episode of Beyond the Razor Wire Fence centers a deep, introspective storytelling experience, guided by Love Now Media’s Designing Love Storytelling Program. The fellows also took on leadership roles in shaping the podcast, serving as associate producers and guiding the direction of each episode.

“We designed this podcast not just as a reflection of what the fellows have overcome, but as a tool to create momentum for the future they envision,” said Jos Duncan-Asé, CEO of Love Now Media. “The goal is for these stories to reach policymakers, activists, and community leaders who can drive the collective action needed for systemic change.”

Women’s Way has developed a comprehensive listening guide to accompany each episode. The guide encourages reflection and action from listeners, including universities, policymakers, and community organizers compelled to organize for change. By amplifying these powerful stories, Love Now Media and Women’s Way hope to create lasting momentum for systemic change.
